Baby, directed by Sai Rajesh, has generated significant buzz, thanks to its chart-topping songs. Starring Anand Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya, and Viraj Ashwin in lead roles, the film hit the screens today, and let’s dive into its storyline and overall impact.

Story:

Set in a slum, Baby revolves around the love story of Vaishnavi (Vaishnavi Chaitanya) and Anand (Anand Deverakonda). While Vaishnavi manages to pursue higher education, Anand becomes an auto driver after failing to secure a college admission. As Vaishnavi undergoes a remarkable transformation, she also grows closer to Viraj (Viraj Ashwin). This gradual change in their dynamics leads to complications between Vaishnavi and Anand. However, an unexpected incident occurs, altering the lives of all three protagonists. The consequences of this incident become the crux of the story.

Positive Aspects:

Baby offers a fresh perspective on contemporary relationships, showcasing the diverse characters through the skillful writing of director Sai Rajesh. By the end of the film, viewers will find themselves invested in all three lead characters, thanks to the effective writing. The highlight of the film is the impactful first meeting between Viraj and Anand.

The second half of the movie stands out with its well-balanced mix of drama, emotions, and intense moments. The dialogues are beautifully crafted, resonating with the target audience and providing several memorable moments. The film includes scenes intentionally designed to appeal to the youth, and they succeed in doing so. Anand Deverakonda delivers a stellar performance, showcasing his full potential in the role of Anand. Despite the challenges, the budding actor excels in his portrayal.

The initial hour of the movie is slow-paced, with the story gaining momentum only in the pre-interval portions. While there are good moments and dialogues, they are too few and far between. Although the first hour falls short, the exceptional second half compensates with intense emotional sequences and strong dialogues. Sai Rajesh brings out the best in his actors and effectively utilizes the music. His dialogues are fantastic, filled with depth. A faster-paced first half would have further elevated the film’s appeal.
